Information we collect

We collect what you type into a form on this site:

  • The call request form: your name, business, phone, and optionally your email, type of business, best time to call, what’s on your mind, and who introduced you.
  • The Journal signup: your email address.

We don’t take payments on this site and don’t ask for sensitive personal information.

How we use it

To reply to your request, arrange and prepare for a call, and keep a record of the conversation. If you sign up for Journal emails, we use your address to send them.

We don’t sell your form submissions. If you allow optional analytics or advertising, limited website activity is shared with Google or Meta respectively, as described below. Your call request works whether you allow or reject either optional tool.

Sharing

A small number of service providers handle data for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Our hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps standard request logs.
  • Our email provider, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google, if you allow analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used and whether call requests are sent. Google handles this activity under its Privacy Policy. Google advertising features and personalization are disabled in this setup.
  • Meta, if you allow advertising measurement, which helps us understand visits from our Facebook and Instagram ads and successful call requests. Meta may use that activity to measure and personalize advertising under its Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Cookies and analytics

Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Each stays off until you allow it. A previous choice to allow Meta advertising does not allow Google Analytics.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures page visits, basic session and engagement activity, and a generate_lead event after a call request has been successfully sent. Google receives page and referral information, browser and device information, and your IP address as part of the connection. Analytics cookies may include _ga and _ga_ cookies. We remove query strings and fragments from page URLs sent to Google, limit external referrers to the referring website, and only pass recognized campaign source and medium labels. Google Signals and advertising personalization stay off.

If you allow advertising, the Meta Pixel records page visits and a Lead event after a call request has been successfully sent. Meta receives the page URL, browser and device information, IP address, and advertising identifiers. Its first-party cookies may include _fbp and _fbc. Meta’s own automatic Conversions API connection may also process the same events. Automatic advanced matching and automatic event detection are not part of the Meta setup.

We don’t pass the names, email addresses, phone numbers or messages you type into our forms as analytics or Pixel event data. Journal signups do not send lead events.

We save your two choices in your browser so you don’t have to choose on every page. You can change either choice at any time using Cookie settings below or in the footer. Rejecting a category stops its future measurement and removes its cookies that this site can access; it doesn’t delete data Google or Meta already received. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep both optional categories off.

Our hosting provider also records standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to run the site and keep it secure.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Every Journal email includes a way to unsubscribe.

California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct their personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using those rights. You can reject optional analytics and advertising through Cookie settings, including after previously allowing either one.

Website terms

This site is general information about our services. It isn’t an offer, and nothing on it forms a contract. Any work we do together is covered by a separate written agreement.

Buon Cibo figures are from our own store and cover online prepaid sales only. They aren’t a forecast of what your business will earn. We don’t guarantee sales, advertising return, sold-out events, or any particular result.

The text and design of this site belong to Clear the Plate. These terms are governed by California law, and the courts of San Diego County handle any dispute.
